Sony Ericsson has just announced its W44S multimedia phone in Japan. It has a unique design and opening system.

Sony Ericsson W44S has a 3-inch display screen (240 x 432 resolution) that comes with Bravia RealityMax technology and it is one of the biggest screen around on the cell phone. It allows you to switch its screen horizontal and extend the hidden antenna at the side of the phone to get better reception. Other than that, Sony Ericsson W44S also come with Felica module which is a contactless payment service for shopping, transport and credit card.

Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera, 115MB of internal memory, 1Seg TV tuner with video recording capabilities, Dual stereo speaker, Memory Stick Pro Duo slot and host of multimedia function. It measures 101 x 49 x 2400 and weighs 146g.
