NEC has unveiled two new MULTEOS LCD HDTVs which are the 40-inch M40 ($5820) and 46-inch M46 ($8002). Both models offer 1920 x 1080 full-HD native resolution panels, 1200:1 (M40) / 1000:1 (M46) contrast ratio, 450cd/m2 brightness, 18-milisecond response time, HDMI port, screen savers, automatic video input detection, high efficieny backlights, VESA mount compatibility, and a 178-degree viewing angle. They will be released in Japan on January 31st 2007.
